INTRODUCTORY CERTIFICATE IN FIRST LINE MANAGEMENT
Qualification Overview
A flexible short programme, providing an introduction to the wide range of responsibilities of the first line manager. It combines key elements of the full Certificate in a tightly focused package.
Duration
34 hours (excluding assessments) normally completed within a 12-month period
Delivery Method
The programme is offered through a mix of structured workshops and self study to meet the needs of the organisation and the individual.
Content
There is a 2 hour induction followed by a total of 10 segments taken from the modules listed below (no more than three from any module overall). Segments can be selected to reflect the needs of the Manager’s operating environment. Segments shown in bold in the list are mandatory.
Assessment Method
The programme will be assessed through segment reviews and a work based assignment.

Assessment Method
The programme will be assessed through work-based assignments, a management project, summative personal development record and a group meeting with the External Verifier.
