CISCO CERTIFIED NETWORK ASSOCIATE (CCNA)

NLITeC is a Local Cisco Networking Academy delivering CCNA training. CCNA, one of the Cisco Academy programs, is designed to teach students the skills needed to design, build, and maintain small to medium-sized networks. This provides them with the opportunity to enter the workforce and/or further their education and training in the computer-networking field. Particular emphasis is given to the use of decision-making and problem-solving techniques in applying science, mathematics, communication, and social studies concepts to solve networking problems. In addition, instruction and training are provided in the proper care, maintenance, and use of networking software tools and equipment in all local, regional and national safety, building and environmental codes and regulations.

TARGET GROUP

The course is designed for network architects, designers, managers and those intending to pursue a career in local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) technologies, network addressing and routing. A good background in the Windows environment and utilities is helpful.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

The first step in Cisco networking begins at the Associate level. The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking.

Job Roles:

CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN,WAN, and dial access services for small networks(100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, access Lists.

Testing & Certification:

The CCNA (640-801) exam will certify that the successful candidate has important knowledge and skills necessary to select, connect, configure, and troubleshoot the various Cisco networking devices. Exams can be taken at NLITeC as NLITeC is a Pearson VUE testing centre.
