MCP / MCSE COURSESCERTIFICATION

The MCP exam measures your ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot information systems that incorporate Windows NT Workstation and Server.  Passing the exam leads to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status.  MCP exams provide the industry recognition of your knowledge and expertise with Microsoft products and technologies.  MCP qualifications are well recognized within the ICT industry and are a reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. The course presenters are MCSE certified and work commercially in the ICT industry. The exams are administered by Sylvan Prometric who are an independent testing organization.  Once you have completed the training with us you will then be able to take the exam at one of their London test centres.

BENEFITS

The Microsoft Certified Systems engineer (MCSE) certification will advance your career by ensuring you have the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system. According to Skillstrain people with MCSE qualifications currently command a salary of £38K per annum, here in the UK, and the prospects are even brighter in developing countries where there is acute shortage of skilled manpower.

PRE-REQUISITE SKILLS

You should be certainly familiar with Windows 98, and a reasonable knowledge of DOS and PC Hardware.  In general, you will need a good technical aptitude and should be seeking a career as PC Systems engineer.

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) candidates are required to pass one current Microsoft certification exam that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise (a current exam is any that has not been retired).

If you intend to continue pursuing a certification track after earning your MCP credential, you may want to choose an exam that will apply to that track.

Attaining MCSE status is a serious challenge and that is why the MCSE certificate is so valuable.  To attain the MCSE Windows 2003, you must pass four core requirements and three electives from two optional groups.  About 60% of the course will involve practical work: Network installation, configuration, troubleshooting and administration live on our networks.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) candidates on the Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 track are required to satisfy the following requirements:  Core Exams (6 Exams Required)

1. Four networking system exams:

Exam 70–290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment.

Exam 70–291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure.

Exam 70-293: Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure.

Exam 70-294: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure.

2. One client operating system exam:

Exam 70–270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows® XP Professional.

3. One design exam:

Exam 70-297: Designing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure.

4.  One Elective Exams:

Exam 70-284: Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.

Together with the core exams, the elective exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in solution design and implementation. MCSE candidates should also have at least one year of experience implementing and administering network operating systems and desktop operating systems.

Upgrade Exams (2 Exams Required)

Microsoft has designed an upgrade path that will enable a current MCSE to earn the Windows Server 2003 credential in a time- and cost-effective manner.
